About Clinical Hypnotherapist Ken Howard

Ken Howard

(Warrington based)

I began studying meditation and relaxation techniques such as Transcendental Meditation, The Knowledge, Silva Mind Control      (which teaches Self Mind Control), etc., in the late 70s..

In 1980/81 I began studying Hypnotherapy in depth and in 1990 I opened A1 Float Centre which incorporated a Float tank, Light & Sound Machines, etc. plus individual Meditation and Hypnotherapy in Warrington. Around this time I became aware of NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) which I then began to study and use alongside Hypnotherapy within the centre. In the 90s I achieved Reiki 1,2 & 3 and became a Reiki Master Tibetan, Usui adding Energy Work to the Centre’s therapies.

Towards the mid to late 90s I also achieved Hypnotherapy Trainer status (ABH) in the USA, Master Practitioner of NLP and Master Practitioner of Timeline Therapy. From 2003 onwards I studied EFT and TAT (Meridian Therapies) and achieved Advanced EFT in 2004. In 2005 I was invited to attend a Masterclass with Gil Boyne in Los Angeles (having trained with him previously in the UK). From 2006-2011 I have taken advanced courses including another Masterclass with Gil Boyne in 2009 (his last ever class in London) and furthered my studies in Hypnotherapy, NLP, EFT, EMDR and the Tapas acupressure technique.

I have undergone training with (in my opinion) some of the best trainers in Hypnotherapy and NLP in the world. These include Tad James, Richard Bandler, Gil Boyne, Paul McKenna and more. Around 2006 I saw clients for hypnotherapy in Warrington and in Chorlton-cum Hardy (Manchester) for several years after which I become based solely in Warrington for hypnotherapy, NLP and EFT.

I believe (from all of my studies and from the people that I have worked with over many years) that within each and everyone of us is there are solutions to our problems (whether they are physical, mental or emotional). However like our habits that are an unconscious part of ourselves we are not always the best person to effect the necessary changes. The answer to effective positive change is to work with a therapist who acts as a guide and works to promote health and wellbeing on multiple levels.

A Doctor does not cure. He/She puts the appropriate systems into place so that the body and mind can do the best it can to bring about a balance and promote healing. Any competent therapist will also do the same (within their field) for their clients.

HERE IS AN ANALOGY TO HELP YOU UNDERSTAND MORE FULLY:-

A person with a fracture will have that part of the body set (in a plaster cast or similar) in the appropriate way so that the body will heal itself. However if there is anything that stops the fracture healing (shrapnel etc.), that will have to be removed to enable the body to repair itself. In the case of the mind and emotions, inappropriate negative feelings are similar to the shrapnel in that they stop the mind from becoming more balanced. However with help from a qualified Hypnotherapist inappropriate negative feelings/emotions can be desensitised (in a relatively short space of time) to an appropriate level and this could change your life positively in many ways.
